Carmon band
The Carmon dancing band *
What am I to do now? It was so daunting. Just finishing 4 years of army service and there was this great unknown facing me, some people call it LIFE. I did not even know how, and why should I, buy a shirt, buy food, all these things are supposed to be free, aren't they? at least for me they were until now, what a waste of money!

Naturally I went to the university to study Math and physics, I was 22, eager and curious to find out how this big universe is working, of cause I was naive, soon I found out that this ain't going to happen. But something else did happen, and that was DANCING.

Dancing became my passion and I courageously (or stupidly..) joined the Carmon Dancing Band, quite famous dancing band in Israel. Courageously - because I did not have any professional training and stupidly because I had no idea what I was doing, but it was fun, for a while.

I always loved dancing. I thought it will be my life, I can dance all day, never be tired of that, even now I still have the bug.  But growing up in a structured and predictable environment of a religious Kibbutz and then the army, I was so lost in this new found freedom, I wanted back into the security of my known world. But there was no way back, I burnt the bridges behind me by telling everyone for many years I ain't coming back to the Kibbutz, and now I had only one way - forward. (try it in your own life at your own risk, yes?)

Few months after joining the Carmon Dancing Band * I had a dancing injury, and that was the end of this particular dream, but not of dancing.

The youtube is the closest thing I could find to the original Carmon Band, but it is not the actual Carmon band

Philosophically speaking - Light unto the nations

We supposed to be "light unto the nations" aren't we? Or are we, as some people believe - dark. When you look at quantum mechanics you understand that the onlooker and what he is watching are interrelating or entangled.

if we expand that notion from the micro into the macro, then we should be really be aware of what we are observing and how, because as we observe so we create. But since the world is so big and we are so many we get the illusion that we are just neutral observers, but are we?

Kineret
Lake kineret corner

The answer to last issue quiz of cause is evaporation!
Lake kineret is not in the ICU anymore and is climbing nicely into a height it has not been in for quite few years. As I am writing this lines it is already 106 centimeters above the red line. Which is 41 centimeters above the highest point last winter.

So it can be said the kineret is in a bull market.

There is a forcast for rain this Thursday and Friday, lets hope that happens and the lake, part of the blood life of Israel, will keep rising, .

Tal Rinkov
Tal Rinkov

I met Tal Rinkov in my last visit to Israel. Like a good Israeli she invited me to her gallery, a cup of tea and made sure I felt comfortable. I was touched by the colors and the feeling of her work.

From what I understood, Tal is fitting her work to the healing needs of the person, but also has ready made drawings that can be produced in any size and for everyone and also for practical usage, such as coasters, key chains mobiles etc.. find more here
